Health Care Reform in 2013

In 2013, the following are some of the changes which will occur as a part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA): 1) Flexible Spending Accounts are capped at a contribution of $2,500. 2) The Medicare withholding tax for those making $200,000 single, or $250,000 family, will increase from 1.45% to 2.35%. 3) The employer must report the aggregate cost of employer sponsored health care on their employees' W2, if the employer has issued more than 250 W2's. 4) Employers must communicate with employees about the future availability of the Health Exchange to be available in their state.Please call or email my office for more details.Jim Bell
